This is a service that focuses on children and the religious education (RE) program. The service will include Affirmation of our 8th graders and Bridging of our high school seniors.

Emerging Into Wholeness
This Easter Multigeneration Service was created by OBUUC’s own Rev. Hannah Roberts Villnave. We will celebrate the Easter story, Wholeness and Communion. Both the Adult Choir and the Multigenerational Choir will sing.
Love Is the Water That Wears Down the Rock
Welcome back for our Multi-generational In-gathering and Water Ceremony as we kick off a new church year. Remember to bring some water to share, some water that represents the places and the people you love. We’ll have some extra water if you forget.
Diwali
Diwali is a five-day-long festival of lights celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and some Buddhists. We’ll learn about Diwali through stories, color, food and activities in this fun multigenerational service.

Today is Olympia Brown’s Birthday. Born on January 5th in 1835, she was a Universalist minister and suffragist. She is regarded as the first woman to graduate from theological school as well as the first full time female minister. She served this congregation from 1878 to 1887.
