Suzanne Landis
Suzanne Landis first came to OBUUC in July of 2013, and found that the Olympia Brown congregation and Unitarian Universalism were what she was searching for—she had come “home.” She became a member as soon as a new member class was offered.
Suzanne retired in 2012 from teaching music in Racine and Kenosha Unified and was also an ordained United Methodist minister serving several churches earlier in her working life. Soon after joining, she became part of the Worship Committee and continues to lead or assist in worship services. She has also been a member of: Board of Trustees, Membership Coordinating Task Force, Social Justice Committee, Auction Committee, Intern Minister Advisory Team, Interim Minister Search Team, PR Committee and is presently co-chair of the 8th Principle Committee.
She sees OBUUC and UUism and its values as important to the Racine community and beyond, and is optimistic about the future of our congregation. She believes OBUUC has the commitment and the resources to be an even greater force for good in this area. She would like to serve on the Board to be a part of leading us into being the Beloved Community that will make a real difference to those who are searching and hoping for a place to finally belong
