OBUUC members have participated in Racine’s Juneteenth activities since 2022. The 8th Principle committee has had a vendor table promoting OBUUC work for social justice at the City of Racine’s annual Juneteenth celebration and attended the Sneakers Ball Gala honoring the impactful work of black people in our community.

OBUUC has also been in the Juneteenth parade for the past three years. This year OBUUC will have two decorated cars and several walkers/riders celebrating freedom in the parade. We will also have a parade watching area set up near the former Winslow School on 14th St. The parade starts at 11am on 6/13/26. Please join us if you can!
