Curriculum
Summer RE (June – August)
Birthdays Around the World by DLRE Leann
Children love to eat, and they love to celebrate birthdays. What better way to introduce children to different cultures than through birthdays and food. This curriculum uses birthday traditions, stories, crafts, games, and food to give children a “taste” of different cultures around the world. This fits our UU Values that encourage us to learn, grow, value, and respect each other in order to build a more peaceful world.
Children’s RE (September – May)
Let’s Learn with Bluey season 3 by DLRE Leann, this curriculum uses discussions about the animated series Bluey to learn about perfection, sharing, fairness, promises, perseverance, wonder, diversity communication, cooperation, and kindness.
Spirit Play by Nita Penfold, Ralph Roberts, and Beverly Leute Bruce
Through hands-on stories Spirit Play seeks to engage children in existential questions about life within the context of the Unitarian Universalist faith. These existential questions include: Where did we come from? What are we doing here? What is our purpose? How do we choose to live our lives? What are our gifts? How do we use them? What happens when we die? Why do we die? Why are we lonely and sad sometimes?
Middle School RE (September – May)
